Arabic and Persian naming conventions — Zafir, Rashida, Tariq, Suleiman, Nasreen, Khalvar, Mirathi, Solvash Titles and honorifics are academic rather than noble — a great scholar-lord is addressed by field of mastery before family name

Territory: Arabian Peninsula, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan — the largest single territory on the map by a wide margin. Coherence maintained through the Majlis structure and trade networks rather than military occupation of every corner.

Government: TBD — likely meritocratic or council-based around academic institutions.

Power base: Not the strongest military or the wealthiest nation, but potentially the most dangerous in a cold war. They understand everyone else better than everyone else understands them. Their diplomats know three languages before they're considered educated. Their spies are scholars on sabbatical.

Magic: The strongest arcane base of any human nation. Home to major magical universities. Other nations send their brightest students here. Their magical theorists understood how the Sigils work at a fundamental level before anyone else did. Most magical terminology across all nations derives from Scholar Nation language — the way Western science uses Latin and Greek.

Summoning tradition: Scholar Nation summoners don't seek cannon fodder. They approach summoning academically — studying the specific capabilities of spirit types and when each is strategically appropriate. The cultural frame is negotiation rather than command: you invite, offer terms, and hope your contract is airtight.

The Blood cult: The Scholar Nation's most complete library of Blood cult texts exists here — locked away, officially banned, studied intensively by multiple professors. The cult's strongest intellectual presence is in the Scholar Nation, not because they endorse it but because they study everything.

Political situation: Last to enter the last war, first to negotiate peace — not from cowardice but genuine diplomatic superiority. Emerged with trade concessions that made them richer than when the war started, which the Imperium has not forgiven.

Sigils present: Scholar

Gnolls: The Majlis-and-trade model that holds Dar Ilm al-Zakir together doesn't mean every corner of that huge territory is actually governed. The less-civilized frontier regions — the stretches no Majlis delegate has real reach into — are Gnoll territory: savage, opportunistic raiders with no throne to topple and no treaty to sign, so the practical result is the same as anywhere else that's technically on the map but not really controlled. Not an official concern of the Scholar Nation's foreign policy so much as a fact of life for whoever lives near the edges.
